Join us for Midweek Pours, Somm's fortnightly wine tasting series!
Designed to be approachable, social and relaxed, each tasting explores a different theme, from varietals and wine regions to celebrated producers and guest winemakers. Every event includes four curated wine tastings accompanied by delicious snacks. With just 12 seats available, Midweek Pours creates an intimate midweek occasion that's perfect for discovering something new.
If you find a new favourite, all wines tasted on the evening will be available to purchase and take home.

Vavasour is the founding winery of the Awatere valley, which was once declared too extreme for vines, but Vavasour took its chances planting its first vines in 1986. The unforgiving terrain and cooler climate has been rewarding wine lovers with an exceptional range of grape varietals that could be different to how you have tasted them before.

As one of the first to plant Pinot Noir, in 1980, Martinborough Vineyard now lay claim to the oldest Pinot Noir vines not only Martinborough, but also New Zealand.
Artisan winemaking techniques, along with dedication to land preservation, and sharing a legacy of wine knowledge with future generations,has earned Martinborough Vineyard a continuous reputation for excellence.

Te Kairanga is an important part of the Martinborough wine history. In the 1880s, Martinborough’s founder, John Martin, farmed the land where TK wines are planted today. Pinot Noir remains at the beating heart of Te Kairanga. With small plots of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Riesling that showcase the abundance and versatility of the TK grounds in Martinborough.
